Fond du Lac area race tracks 2018

The warm months are here, and that means it’s time to get out of the bookstore and back outside. What better way to get your heart pumping than some good old-fashioned racing?  Lucky for you, Wisconsin is filled with race tracks, some of which you may not have known about. If you want to make sure that your 2018 is filled with racing, then let us help you with our guide to Fond du Lac area race tracks.

Plymouth Dirt Track Racing

Road America

In case you weren’t aware, one of the largest and oldest road courses in America is located just over 20 miles from Fond du Lac. It’s called Road America, and though their regular racing calendar opens with the SVRA vintage race May 18-20, they are regularly open for smaller events every weekend and even during most weeks. If you want to get out of the dirt and away from the circle, then Road America is where you want to go.

It’s a beautiful course that is worth dwelling on for a moment. With rolling green hills, expansive wooded areas, 14 turns, 4 miles of track, and numerous areas for spectators to roam and observe, Road America is a truly one of a kind experience, and it’s right in Fond du Lac’s backyard. This year they will be hosting NASCAR, IndyCar, Trans Am, and more!
