What is the 2019 Chevy Cruze RS Package?
Many of you may have noticed that some Cruze models have RS badges on the front. This has led to many asking about a Cruze RS trim, but there is no RS trim, it’s actually a package. What is the 2019 Chevy Cruze RS package? We will cover all the details including price, features, and more.

Performance features of the Cruze RS
The RS Package on the Cruze doesn’t change the engine, which isn’t a bad thing. Outside of the diesel model, which doesn’t have an RS Package option, the Cruze gives you a powerful 1.4-liter turbo engine that is capable of outputting 153 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque while still getting up to 28-city mpg and 38-highway mpg.

For some additional performance, the RS Package adds a spoiler to the rear along with a Z-link compound crank rear suspension for improved handling. The RS Package also features a sport body kit that not only looks good but provides improved aerodynamics.

With the RS Package you also get black Chevy bowties, red RS badging, and black moldings to go with that sport body kit. The RS Package also adds front fog lamps for better visibility in inclement weather. To top it all off though, the RS Package features machined aluminum wheels with black pockets and a black bowtie center cap.

What Cruze trims is the RS Package available on?
For 2019, the RS Package is available on two trims for the Cruze. These trims are the LT and the Premier. You may be wondering about the sedan or the hatchback specifically, but you have nothing to fear. The RS Package applies to both the hatchback and the sedan models equally.

How much does the Cruze RS package cost?
The RS Package actually has a slightly different cost depending on what trim you pick. That’s because there’s actually a difference in rim size depending between the two trims. The LT trim RS Package sports 17-inch rims and that package adds $795 to the MSRP. The Premier trim RS Package gives you 18-inch rims but costs a little more with $995 added to the MSRP.
