Differences between the 2017 Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf
The major difference between the 2017 Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf is their driving range. The Leaf is all-electric (no gas tank) and has a driving range of 84 miles at the standard level. The 2017 Volt can go up to 53 miles with only electric, but with its gas tank you have a total driving range of 420 miles. Chevrolet also estimates that most drivers will be able to go up to 1,000 miles before returning to a gas station , when charging the Volt regularly.
The Nissan Leaf is very limited because of its driving range, and even though you can pay a few extra thousand to add another 20 or so miles, it just doesn’t add up to what the Chevy Volt offers. The Chevy Volt also offers a number of features that help set it apart from its competitors, including its 8-inch LED display with the Chevy MyLink infotainment system. You can use this to measure your driving efficiency, connect your phone with CarPlay and Android Auto, and run your vehicle entertainment!
