What Comes With The 2019 Chevy Silverado Z71
What comes with the 2019 Chevy Silverado Z71?
Many confuse the Z71 as a trim level for the Silverado, but that is not the case. It is actually an off-road package that is available on multiple trim levels for the Silverado. What comes with the 2019 Chevy Silverado Z71 package? We will cover all its features and more!
Suspension and performance upgrades with the Silverado Z71 package
Right away, you will notice the 18-inch wheels with their all-terrain tires, but this package also adds off-road tuned Rancho twin-tube shocks and a two-speed transfer case that includes a locking rear differential.
If you want to take this thing off-roading for real, then having more protection will be a must. However, the Z71 already provides in that category. With added skid plates underneath, your oil pan, transfer case, and more will all be protected. The Z71 package also adds a heavy-duty air filter to keep that dirt and dust out of your engine’s precious air.
Added Silverado Z71 features
The Z71 package also adds a huge list of features that are good for both off-roading and even general use. These features include electronic hill descent control, IntelliBeam headlights, a heads-up display, surround vision, and a rear camera mirror.
Along with those convenient features, the Z71 package also adds several safety features such as front and rear park assist, lane change alert, a safety alert seat, front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, rear cross traffic alert, and more.
What trim levels is the Z71 available on for 2019?
Officially, all Chevy has said is that it is available on “most” trim levels and comes standard on the Trail Boss trim levels. The new lineup for 2019 starts with the Work Truck, and goes up from there with the Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and the top High Country.
Since those two Trail Boss trims already have the Z71 package, one can assume that the Custom and above trim levels are available with it, and the Work Truck will likely be understandably left out. With so many options, you can get the truck you need with the off-road capability that you have always wanted.
